Does it create the prepaid label?

No. When a return is your mistake, it promises the customer a label within the hours you set and tells the warehouse in Slack to send it.

Can refunds trigger automatically?

Not in this template. Once you mark a return as received, a follow-up workflow can call your payment provider's refund API.

Your return form sends the request here. Each valid request gets an RMA number, is logged in a sheet, and the customer gets a confirmation. If the reason points to your mistake (damaged, defective, wrong item), the customer is told return shipping is covered and the warehouse is told to send a prepaid label. Requests need your secret key, so outsiders can't use it.

How it works

1Requests without the right key get a 401; requests without a valid email or order number get a 400 with the reason.
2Valid requests get an RMA number like RMA-261002-K3F9 and are logged with Status = Requested.
3If the reason mentions damage, a defect, a broken or faulty item, a wrong item/size/colour, a missing part, or "not as described", it's treated as your mistake: the customer is told return shipping is covered and a label is coming, and the warehouse Slack message says to send it.
4Other returns get the standard confirmation pointing to your return policy.
